More shots in arms, especially in underserved communities, that’s the goal of MedStar's pop up vaccine clinics.

MedStar isn’t doing much to publicize these small vaccine events because they don’t want to get overwhelmed at these weekly pop-up clinics, but people are still finding out and demand is high.

Hundreds of people gathered yesterday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church for a pop-up vaccine clinic there.

One man said getting the vaccine is worth the wait.

Unfortunately MedStar was forced to turn some people away yesterday because the demand was too high and there just weren’t enough shots for everyone.

MedStar is doing these small pop-up clinics, as opposed to mega-sites that serve thousands a day, in an effort to take vaccines into underserved communities and neighborhoods.
