Two North Texas teenagers are safe this morning after being rescued from a Mesquite couple who was selling them for sex in St Louis.
St. Louis County police say the two children were runaways who met up with the wrong people. They were rescued from a hotel near a busy highway and have been returned to North Texas.
St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell says a man and his girlfriend were marketing the girls as prostitutes.
Both suspects, identified as 18-year old Chantel Robinson and 22-year old Joemarius Green, are now behind bars.
Police say the girls are back in North Texas and under State supervision. Bell says it does not appear the girls were abducted and forced to travel out of state.
