According to Dallas Fort Worth Airport officials, 1.3 million people are estimated to travel through DFW for the Labor Day weekend Holiday making it 12% busier than 2019 numbers.
While the airport is prepared for the busy weekend ahead, DFW's Francisco Rodriguez said people should plan for crowds and arrive two to three hours ahead of their flight to be on the safe side.
"That way they have plenty of time to find parkinging, check in, check in any bags if they wanna check bags and get through security and then relax at their gate," said Rodriguez.
One traveler we spoke with said this is exactly the advice their boss gave them ahead of their travel day.
"He was like no, it's a travel weekend, we had some hurricanes, so you guys should come in earlier so we don't miss the flights or hopefully be late for the flights either," said One guy heading to the Poconos.
Rodriguez said the busiest travel day will be Friday and he said if you're worried about parking you can pre-park at DFWairport.com/park.
