A Mississippi prison escapee who was recaptured after a police chase in Dallas County this week is now in more hot water, this time in Frisco.
Over the Christmas weekend, Tyler Payne and a fellow inmate busted out of a state prison near the Jackson, Mississippi. Reports say they stole a church van that was fished out of Lake Fork near Quitman in east Texas.
Driving another stolen vehicle, they got to Dallas where Payne got out and his friend apparently kept going west.
Earlier this week, Payne was seen driving a car stolen out of Frisco. Police chased him into Dallas where he crashed on I-35 near Eighth Street. He tried to carjack a vehicle there but deputies captured him before he got away.
Now, Frisco police have warrants out in Payne's name charging him with theft and aggravated robbery related to a robbery and a purse snatching in Frisco in November.
