There will be a groundbreaking in Plano on a new state of the art hotel.
It is the first hotel of its kind in Texas from Miyako Hotel and Resorts. There are two others in the United States.
It is called the Miyako Hybrid Hotel Plano and it will feature 217 rooms blending an East-meets-West design.
There is a traditional Japanese restaurant and an authentic Japanese bakery with an upscale lobby bar and banquet and meeting space.
Miyako Hotel and Resorts says it is strategically located in the heart of Plano's Business and Entertainment District on Legacy Drive.
It's scheduled to be open in the fall of 2027.
