In a rare alignment, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Inauguration Day will both be observed on Monday, January 20th, 2025.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed on the third Monday of January each year

Whereas the 20th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution reads: The terms of the President and the Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of their successors shall then begin.
