Molson Coors is making a donation to Tarrant Area Food Bank. Molson Coors has a brewery in Fort Worth, and the company is donating 375,000 meals to the organization.

"As the number of people impacted by the pandemic continues to grow, food insecurity has become a community crisis," says Molson Coors' Kayla Garcia. "We know food banks are seeing an unprecedented increase in demand."

The Tarrant Area Food Bank says demand increased 65% in 2020. The organization has been holding mobile pantries several times a week.

Starting at 1 p.m.:

205 E. Carver
Alvarado, TX 76009

Starting at 5 p.m.:

Friday, Tarrant Area Food Bank will resume "mega mobile pantries" at Herman Clark Stadium beginning at 10 a.m. The food bank's chief executive says the organization will continue holding 35 mobile pantries per week.

"This donation could not have been more critical for the community during this time," Garcia, with Molson Coors, says.

Garcia says the company is donating a total of three million meals to food banks in cities where Molson Coors has a presence. In addition to the donation, Garcia says employees are being urged to volunteer at local non-profits.

"It is a priority for us to continue to stay committed, supporting our local organizations such as the Tarrant Area Food Bank," she says. "We have been very conscious this year, making sure all of our employees are safe when volunteering. But whether it's been in-person or virtual volunteering options, employees have always responded."
