The murder trial of the former Fort Worth police officer accused of killing Atatiana Jefferson has yet another new start date.

Opening statements in the trial of Aaron Dean will now be on December 5.

Dean is charged with murder for the October 2019 killing of Atatiana Jefferson inside her Fort Worth home.

Dean's trial has been delayed many times -- most recently in late June, when Justice Lee Gabriel granted a motion by Dean's lawyers to have Judge David Hagerman removed from the case.

Judge George Gallagher will now preside over the trial.

Final pretrial hearings will be November 16-18, and jury selection will run from November 28-December 2.
