Neiman Marcus, the luxury retailer with deep roots in Dallas, is closing its flagship store in downtown Dallas.
According to the Dallas Morning News, new owner of Neiman Marcus Saks Global says they received notice for the shutdown, effective March 31. Despite negotiations, the luxury retailer received a notice from a landlord to terminate the occupancy, “forcing us to close,” the statement said.
The corporate offices above the store are not affected by the closure.
Saks Global, the parent company of the merged brands, announced the closure after reviewing site usage and lease agreements. The company will consolidate all corporate operations into its New York headquarters.
Saks plans to invest $100 million in renovations to the NorthPark Center store.
