The man tried for the murder of a former Nolan Catholic High School student has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Jackson Weller two years ago.
Graduating from Nolan in 2014, Weller attended an Arizona junior college before transferring to the University of New Mexico where he was on the baseball team.
In May of 2019, Weller was shot and killed outside an Albuquerque night club.
Prosecutors told the jury Darian Bashir shot Weller as payback after some of Bashir's friends got into a fight with Weller inside the club.
