There are many things on the 'to-do' list for various Metroplex cities ahead of the FIFA World Cup, especially wrapping up construction projects.
One of the larger construction efforts that have been ongoing the past few months includes the renovations in Frisco Square.
That construction is wrapping up in time for the FIFA World Cup.
Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney says they will be done with that project and others ahead of the World Cup.
"That will be complete, so the roadwork is already done, we're putting the finishing touches on," Mayor Cheney said.
"The plaza and the stage will be done and it will be activated for the World Cup."
Frisco and Mansfield were named as base camps for World Cup teams this week.
Mansfield has a monumental task of finishing their new stadium to be used as a base camp. The mayor says it will be ready.
