North Texas Giving Day returns this fall, but nonprofits hoping to participate have an important deadline coming up first.
Communities Foundation of Texas says organizations must register by June 15 to take part in this year’s North Texas Giving Day, scheduled for Sept. 17.
The annual event connects donors with nonprofits across the region and is billed as the largest community-wide giving event in the country.
Registering early gives nonprofits time to build fundraising pages, access free training and use resources designed to help them reach new donors and maximize support for their missions.
Early giving begins Aug. 27, allowing donors to start supporting participating organizations before the official event date.
Communities Foundation of Texas says 100-percent of each online gift goes directly to the nonprofit selected by the donor, thanks to support from sponsors.
Nonprofits interested in participating can register through the North Texas Giving Day website before the June 15 deadline.
