According to the latest First American Data & Analytics Monthly Home Price Index Report, the upward trend in home prices persists in the DFW area, albeit at a slower pace compared to the national average.

Nationally, in March, home prices saw a 6.2% increase from the previous year. However, in North Texas, the rate of price appreciation was only half as robust.

Specifically, in the Dallas-Plano-Irving market, prices rose by 3.3% year-over-year.

Meanwhile, in the Fort Worth-Arlington-Grapevine market, prices saw a more modest increase of 2.9% since March 2023.

Across Texas as a whole, prices experienced a 4.7% uptick compared to the previous year, placing it among the states with slower price growth.

Only nine states showed a more subdued rate of increase.

Prices in South Dakota increased the most at 14.6%, according to the report.
