For Election Day, several North Texas school districts have canceled classes.

These include Dallas, Arlington, Garland, Irving, Plano, Richardson, Denton and Grapevine-Colleyville ISDs, all of which are keeping students home largely due to safety concerns, as many of their campuses are used as polling locations.

However, some districts, like Frisco and Grand Prairie ISDs, remain open with added security measures to ensure campus safety for students and staff.
