The lead organizer for World Cup events in North Texas is calling the entire experience nothing short of magical.
North Texas successfully hosted nine matches and welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors during the nearly six-week event.
Monica Paul oversaw the operation as President of the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee.
"It was really magical, I feel like, for North Texas," Paul said. "We had a great team, a lot of great stakeholders, City leadership, and I think you've seen the region come together."
She says while there was never a sense of emergency during the events, she always had safety security and transportation top of mind.
"The weather was something we thought we may have to endure," Paul said. "Both our public safety and emergency management teams, all of our planning teams, I felt like did a really good job."
It may be a few weeks or even months to determine exactly how many visitors came to North Texas for the nine matches at Dallas Stadium in Arlington.
It also might take some time to determine hotel occupancy, incremental tax dollars, and food and beverage revenue.
Dallas now hopes to be a part of the 2031 Women's World Cup which is expected to take place across four countries including the United States.
