Nurses were honored before last night's Game 1 of the World Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
With a limited-capacity crowd of about 10,000 looking on, a pair of nurses, a married couple Ryan Ward and Jamie Edens, tossed out the ceremonial first pitch.
Ryan was the catcher and Jamie delivered the pitch.
Two other front-line medical workers were also recognized for their work during the Coronavirus outbreak.
Erika Combs is an oncology and kidney transplant nurse in Dallas and Brittney Burns is a San Antonio nurse-practitioner.
