An Oak Lawn four-plex apartment home has been gutted by a three-alarm fire overnight.
Reports say the flames broke out just before 11 p.m. at a two-story building on Hawthorne Avenue near Lemmon Avenue and the Dallas North Tollway.
The fire had a pretty good head start with the flames already through the roof. Dallas Fire-Rescue Commanders called a second alarm almost right away and a third within about 20 minutes.
Multiple ambulances were requested and neighbors said firefighters went in to search for one person who was apparently trapped. That person's condition has not been released.
