A federal judge has scheduled an emergency hearing in Washington after Oath Keeper Stewart Rhodes of Granbury fired his Dallas lawyers, and Rhodes now wants a delay for his upcoming trial.

In a new filing overnight Stewart Rhodes made it clear he was not happy with his Dallas attorneys, Phil Linder and James Bright. Both have been sacked by Rhodes who has now hired a Louisiana lawyer named Edward Tarpley.

In a 20-page motion filed by Tarpley, Rhodes claims Linder and Bright have put vacations and outings ahead of his legal problems and have not communicated for the upcoming trial that's scheduled to start on September 27th.

Tarpley now wants Rhodes case severed from others and a delay in that trial, claiming he is simply not ready.

Federal Judge Amit Mehta has been reluctant to do that with any of the Oath Keeper defendants who are charged with seditious conspiracy for the January 6th attack on the US Capitol. The hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
