When the body of a 28 year old man was found in Hood County in December, there was some debate over whether he was killed by a mountain lion.
Tuesday, officials released the results of the autopsy. Christopher Whiteley was found in a wooded area of Lipan, about 65 miles west of Fort Worth, on December 3.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office now says the cause of death was due to "injuries of the neck, due to animal attack" and was an accident.
Officials believe it was the same animal killed by a deer hunter in Hunt County days after Whiteley was found.
