The Edmonton Oilers seized a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference Final with a commanding 6-1 victory over the Dallas Stars on Sunday at Rogers Place.

Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman each netted two goals, propelling Edmonton's offense. Goaltender Stuart Skinner was instrumental, making 33 saves and thwarting a strong second-period push by Dallas.

The Stars, missing top-line center Roope Hintz due to a foot injury sustained in Game 2, managed only one goal from Jason Robertson. Dallas coach Pete DeBoer remained optimistic, highlighting positive takeaways despite the lopsided loss.

This series marks a rematch of last year's Western Conference Final, where the Oilers defeated the Stars in six games. Game 4 is set for Tuesday in Edmonton, with Dallas aiming to even the series.
