One of three suspects captured in Garland triple murder

Garland police say that have captured one of the three suspects wanted for a triple murder that happened Monday.

Two men from Garland and a teen from Lewisville were killed in an ambus shooting earlier this week. Police have now arrested 25-year old Maria Fernanda Molina, she has been charged with capital murder.

On August 9, just after 11:00 pm, Garland Police responded to the report of multiple people shot at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of West Kingsley Road. When officers arrived, they located three males outside of the apartments suffering from multiple gunshots wounds. All three subjects were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Garland Poliece Lieutenant Pedro Barineau says they have a motive for the shooting, it was a fight over another girl.

Police say there are two other suspects involved in the shooting deaths and one has been identified as 19-year-old Jesus Angel Gomez Jr. An arrest warrant for capital murder has been issued for his arrest.

Detectives are still attempting to identify a third suspect believed to be responsible for the shooting. He is described as a Hispanic male in his late teens to early twenties.

This remains an active investigation and detectives are continuing to seek the public's help in locating the two other suspects.
