Three Arlington schools should be on a normal schedule today following yesterday's nearby shooting of a teenager.
The Monday afternoon shooting was on North Cooper within a mile of Butler Elementary, Lamar High School and Turning Point alternative. All three were put under what is described as a "shelter protocol" which means classes continue but no one is allowed in or out of the buildings until the all-clear is given.
Police say the gunfire came in the midst of a fight among some teenagers. The teenager who was wounded is reported to be in stable condition. One teenager was arrested.
