Nearly four weeks after their young son died, an Arlington couple is suing the city.

After Bakari's death, the Centers for Disease Control detected the amoeba in water samples collected at the splash pad.

Yesterday, Bakari's parents filed their lawsuit in Tarrant County.

The city of Arlington has already acknowledged park maintenance staffers failed to record water test readings for Misenhimer. Like swimming pools, splash pad water must be chlorinated to ensure that dangerous or deadly micro-organisms are killed.
