Four months after a little girl was run over and killed by a school bus, her parents have filed a lawsuit against the Brock school district and the company that built the bus and the company that sold it to Brock ISD.
In May, 6-year-old Emory Sayre was dropped off by her school bus. But when she walked in front of the bus, she was run over and crushed beneath the tires.
Her parents, Tori and Sean Sayre, filed their lawsuit Tuesday seeking at least a million dollars. They accuse the district of failing to provide a safe environment. They also claim the bus did not include motion sensor technology or student detection systems.
