DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- Parkland Memorial Hospital's Emergency Room had a record-breaking day on Tuesday, after seeing close to 1000 patients, as the highly contagious omicron variant continues to spread.
The high number of cases has prompted the hospital to limit visiting hours from 1pm to 4pm, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Chang says the ER will never turn people away but is urging people with minor symptoms to avoid the already-full ER. Dr. Chang is urging people to get vaccinated.
