With the Super Bowl coming up Sunday, the 8,000 people of Whitehouse, Texas are celebrating their home town hero, Patrick Mahomes the Chiefs quarterback making his second straight Super Bowl appearance.
The town near Tyler is finding creative ways to send their love to Mahomes who graduated from Whitehouse High School in 2014 before heading to Texas Tech and the NFL.
One family has a life-size cut-out of Flat Pat -- as some call it -- and they're making the rounds to let fans take their selfies.
Also, a Whitehouse restaurant is getting in on the fun. Montez Creekside Kitchen has introduced its Mahomes Hot Dog, topped with pulled pork, jalapeno slices, coleslaw, a fried egg and pickles.
Owner Esteban Villapudua went to a rival high school and remembers, even then, Mahomes was a special talent when their football teams met.
The Mahomes dog will set you back about $9. But at least it comes with fries.
