Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed another lawsuit against the city of Dallas, this time over gun restrictions at two theater venues.

Paxton is targeting the Majestic Theatre and the Music Hall at Fair Park, both of which are leased by the city to private event organizers. He argues that the city is unlawfully allowing those groups to prohibit licensed handgun holders from carrying firearms inside the venues.

This is not the first time Paxton has taken legal action over firearm restrictions in Dallas. He filed a similar lawsuit last year after the State Fair of Texas banned guns at its event, a policy enacted following a shooting at the fairgrounds the year before. A judge ultimately ruled against Paxton in that case.

City officials have not yet publicly responded to the latest lawsuit.
