The police chief and one of her officers in a Henderson County police department are both facing drug charges after a raid at their homes in Mabank Thursday.
Payne Springs Chief April Meadows and reserve officer Jonathan Hutchinson are looking at felony counts of drug dealing and money laundering.
Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said the investigation began when his detectives received tips that Meadows and Hutchinson had been dealing drugs that had been seized by the Payne Springs Police Department.
Hillhouse says after drugs were found at the pair's homes, an additional search warrant allowed deputies to search the Payne Springs PD impound yard.
Meadows and Hutchinson are both held on bond amounts of $1.5 million each
