One person has died after being struck by traffic on I-35E in Dallas this morning.
The 911 calls started coming in just after 3 a.m. and the callers said someone had been run over on the south-bound side between Empire Central and Mockingbird.
Dallas Sheriff's deputies closed down the freeway and found the victim already dead.
Traffic was diverted off I-35E for hours for the investigation. Investigators can't yet say why the victim was on foot on the freeway.
