From today through Friday, Pittsburg, Texas-based Pilgrim's Chicken is holding no cost community cookouts for people without power in Pittsburg and Mount Pleasant.
Tens of thousands are still without power in the region due to last week's storms. Meanwhile, in Panola County, which was hit by an EF-1 tornado Friday, County Judge Rodger McLane has signed a declaration, certifying that the severe weather in East Texas has caused a disaster for the county.
It could be extended but for now it lasts seven days.
