
The superintendent of Pilot Point ISD resigned Thursday "to pursue other interests," according to a letter released by the school board.
Superintendent Todd Southard's resignation was announced in a statement from Pilot Point ISdtrustees last night. The statement says "...the Board extends its best wishes to Mr. Southard in his future endeavors."
Last week, a Pilot Point district employee, athletic trainer Javier Errisuriz, was arrested on charges relating to an accusation that he had "groomed" a 17-year-old student. The district did not say if the two events were connected.
