On Saturday afternoon, motorists on Kiest Boulevard in South Dallas had quite a surprise after a Diamond 62 twin-engine aircraft made an emergency landing.
Dallas Fire-Rescue units arrived on the scene and found the plane that made its landing on Keist near Ledbetter Drive.

According to the responding Battalion Chief, two individuals, a husband and wife were in the plane when it landed. Thankfully, neither one of them was injured.
Though it’s unclear what necessitated the emergency landing, the plane did not strike any vehicles and left behind minimal damage, only taking down some utility lines and hitting a speed limit sign. There was no presence of fuel leaking when first responders arrived at the scene.
They say a good landing is anyone you can walk away from.
