It's life behind bars for a Plano man who was convicted of murdering his sister and her boyfriend.
Blake Richards was sentenced Tursday to life in prison. Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis says the life sentence comes with no possibility of parole.
Last year, a friend of Richards told police that Richards had confessed to the killings. At the family home in Plano, police found the bodies of the victims.
DNA tests linked Richards to the rifle and handgun used in the murders. Detectives learned that the siblings' mother had recently died and they had been quarreling over a life insurance policy.
