A North Texas man accused of randomly attacking people with a hammer is now under arrest.

Plano police say Charles Murray, 26, was arrested without incident in Dallas.

Ofc. Jennifer Chapman said Murray's family saw his photo, and they informed police.

"We received a tip from Dallas, who had received a tip that they knew who the suspect was," Chapman said.

Murray is suspected of randomly attacking a man inside a restroom at a Plano gas station with a hammer, and it's likely that he's also responsible for a pair of random attacks at DART stations.

"According to the photos, I think a reasonable person can look at that and say it's highly likely," Chapman said.

The victims, meanwhile, are on the road to recovery.

"As far as I know, they're doing just fine," Chapman says. "Of course, they did suffer from serious bodily injuries."

Murray is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is being held at the Collin County Detention Center.
