5-year-old KJ Scroggins constantly tells his grandparents that when he grows up, he wants to become a police officer.
The Plano Police Department just made KJ's dreams come true!
Officer Sean White noticed a message KJ's grandparents posted on Nextdoor, and immediately reached out to KJ, inviting him to the police academy.
KJ had the chance to "train" with several different units, including the bomb squad, K-9 unit and drone team, and he also rode in a SWAT vehicle and toured the police department.
KJ's grandmother Denise Hamilton told NBC 5 that the experience changed his life. She said, "He came in at the end of the night and hugged me and he said 'Nana, this was a best, best day ever.'"
