About 4,000 power outages remain this morning from our overnight thunderstorms, most of them in Dallas, Tarrant and Collin counties.
In addition to strong lightning blamed for at least two North Texas house fires, the storms also dropped quarter-size hail in Hickory Creek, Lewisville and the Valley Ranch neighborhood in Irving.
Wind gusts exceeding 60 mph were also reported in the area of Robson Ranch and also in parts of Denton County.
