A private water utility that supplies water to parts of rural areas of Azle has declared an Emergency Water Outage.
The Community Water Supply Corporation is urging its customers to conserve until the problem is resolved. The company says "due to a major breakdown of plant equipment and large usage of water we have 2 feet of water in our tanks. Repair parts are not readily available from the manufacturer. Please prepare for a water outage."
The company also says its back-up supplier is having problems of its own so there's no way to know how long this might last.
This all applies only to customers of the private Community Water Supply Corporation which provides water in unincorporated Azle.
The City of Azle is quick to point out this does not affect the city's public water system which is said to be functioning properly.
