ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD)- Today is the Rangers' home opener and they will welcome about 40,000 fans for this afternoon's game against Toronto.
Last year, during the height of the Coronavirus outbreak, the team played a limited number of games in its new Globe Life Field but no fans were allowed.
Now, the Rangers will be the first American pro sports team to play in front of a full house and some people worry the game could become a Coronavirus super-spreader event.
As for masks, the team is mandating them for all fans except when they are eating or drinking. Anyone who fails to comply will first get a warning -- and then will be subject to ejection.
And out of concern for the Coronavirus, tail-gating in the parking lots will be banned. Not just for today's home opener but for the whole season.
