Six Texas Rangers and three Houston Astros are in Seattle for the MLB All-Star Game.
In Monday night's Home Run Derby, the Rangers' Adolis Garcia meets his friend and fellow Cuban Randy Arozarena in the first round. Not only are they friends and countrymen, the two are also former St. Louis Cardinals teammates.
They were traded away, Garcia to the Rangers and Arozarena to the Tampa Bay Rays, following the 2019 season. Now they will constitute two-thirds of the starting American League outfield tomorrow night at Seattle's T-Mobile Park.
Also starting the game for the Texas Rangers will be catcher Jonah Heim, second-baseman Marcus Semien, Shortstop Corey Seager and rookie phenom Josh Jung at third.
The Rangers' pitching staff is also represented by Nathan Eovaldi. The Astros have three players on the American League roster including pitcher Framber Valdez and outfielders Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Tucker.
