The Baltimore Ravens beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-31 on Sunday at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro when Tyler Loop made a 56-yard field goal as time expired.
Dallas had tied the game at 31 on Brandon Aubrey’s 23-yard field goal with seven seconds left. After a touchback on the kickoff, Lamar Jackson hit Zay Flowers for 27 yards and called timeout with one second remaining, setting up Loop’s winner, the Associated Press reported. The announced crowd was 72,792 for the NFL’s first regular-season game in Rio and its third in Brazil.
The Cowboys (1-2) had a chance to take the lead before the tie. Nate Wiggins was flagged for pass interference against CeeDee Lamb, putting Dallas at the Baltimore 2 with 23 seconds left. An incomplete pass and a false start pushed the Cowboys back, and they settled for Aubrey’s kick.

Baltimore (2-1) led 24-13 late in the third quarter. Dak Prescott then directed scoring drives that put Dallas ahead 28-24, including a touchdown pass to Jake Ferguson and a short scoring run by KaVontae Turpin. The Ravens stopped Derrick Henry on fourth down from the Dallas 1 in between those scores. Jackson later found Matthew Hibner for a late touchdown that made it 31-28 before Dallas answered.
Jackson completed 15 of 20 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns and added 50 rushing yards. Henry ran for 89 yards and two scores. Flowers had five catches for 84 yards.
Prescott went 25 of 40 for 276 yards and a touchdown, the Cowboys said in their game recap. Lamb had 112 receiving yards, George Pickens 82, and Javonte Williams 98 rushing yards. Dallas finished with 148 rushing yards, its first 100-yard rushing game of the season.
The finish left Cowboys fans with a familiar sting: a late tie, then no chance to answer. Dallas returns home 1-2.
