A toxicology report says 26-year old Dylan Molina was twice the legal limit for alcohol in his blood when he got into a fatal accident in Lake Worth, killing an off duty Euless police officer.
Dylan Molina is facing intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault charges for the November 27th accident. Police say he ran a red light, killing off duty Euless Police detective Alex Cervantes and injuring his wife and two children.
Euless police are doing what they can to help the family through the holidays. Assistant chief Greg Landers says the accident shows the real consequences of driving drunk, when nobody has to.
"Wether you're going to drink and drive, or not, there are very simple ways to not do that - it's very easy and at your fingertips." said Landers. "That insures you and the motoring public are safe - and that you get home safely." Landers is referring to ride-share apps that all serve the North Texas area.
Cervantes wife is still hospitalized due to her serious injuries from the crash. The two children have been released from the hospital.
