ROCKWALL (1080 KRLD)- Residents in one Rockwall County city are on high alert because a nearby dam is shifting.
The City of Mclendon-Chisholm in Rockwall County is monitoring the integrity of the dam in the Chisholm Crossing Subdivision and putting area residents on notice that an evacuation *may* be necessary.
No evacuation order has been issued yet but mayor Bryan McNeal says the city is watching the situation closely.
The city asked residents on several streets near the dam to secure pets, important documents, essential electronics, and personal items just in case an evacuation is ordered.
