Restaurants in North Texas: The Good and the Bad

It was a welcomed sight for many restaurants, a dining room full of people over the July 4th weekend.

But it wasn't all good news.

Emily Williams Knight with the Texas Restaurant Association says many are still struggling with a severely interrupted supply chain, and lack of employees.

"People feel more confident about getting back out to work, but we are still struggling on schools and child care. We are looking at different options to try to shore up child care. We are one of those industries where you can't do it from home," Knight says.

She says many restaurants also reported running out of items, and almost everything that went into making the item more expensive, leading to higher bills for customers.
