Sources tells KRLD news that Andrew Beard of Rowlett has posted a $1-million bond and is expected to be released from the Dallas County jail by Friday.
Beard was arrested last Friday for the shooting and stabbing death of Alyssa Burkett, an apartment manager.
The two share a child and court records show that Burkett had been awarded custody just days before.

The records also showed that Burkett, her boyfriend and her mother were scared that Beard would harm them.
Police say they found evidence connecting Beard to the scene of the murder.
The ability for Beard to make the $1 million bond has Dallas County prosecutors scrambling to review options, including electronic home monitoring as a condition of gettingout of jail.
