A search in on in Rowlett where a man was seen running from a home just as police pulled up to investigate a body floating in a pool.
According to Rowlett police, a pool service tech called for 9-1-1 for help early Tuesday morning after he found the unidentified body in a backyard pool.
Police say as they were pulling up to the scene, someone inside the house ran away. Also, narcotics were found to be involved in the incident and, as a result, the DEA will be partnering with local law enforcement to assist in the ongoing investigation.
A DPS helicopter was called in to help look for that man but he has not yet been located. Police are not sure if the runner had anything to do with the victim.
A source tells KRLD news the man who fled may have been in the country illegally.
