The Sanger ISD has closed the doors at Sanger High School and Sanger Middle School for the next two weeks because of COVID-19 cases at those school.

Officials say teachers will continue to offer their classes on-line and students will be expected to stick with their existing class schedules for virtual learning.

School district officials are also asking students to avoid social situations and wear masks in public to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The switch to online-only learning is effective from November 9th through Friday, November 20th. The following week was already scheduled as a vacation on the Sanger ISD calendar, so the first day that students will be able to return to class for in-person learning at those two schools will be Monday, November 30th.

The district offered students without internet access the ability to check out a free wi-fi hot-spot at either Sanger High School or Sanger Middle School on Monday.
