A Denton County woman is behind bars on a murder charge nearly a month after her husband was shot in the couple's vehicle.
Police say Amber Rosales was arrested Wednesday at her home in Sanger.
On April 25th, Jeffrey McBride was shot while driving his truck on East Sherman Drive in Denton, according to reports. The truck crashed into a front yard.
Rosales told police they had stopped on East Sherman to speak with a man. She claimed the man shot her husband and tossed the gun in the truck before running off.
However, detectives had serious doubts about that story and they got warrants to search for evidence and spoke to witnesses and family members.
Now, believing Rosales did it, they have charged her with murder.
