Second Houston man jailed in an Arlington murder

A second Houston man has now been captured five months after an Arlington man was gunned down in what police believe was a case of mistaken identity.

In early May, Robert Cooley was shot in the parking lot of an Arlington apartment complex. That afternoon, a Houston man named Kendell Morris was arrested.

Now, another man named David Jones is locked up in Harris County, waiting to be sent to Arlington for trial.

Arlington police believe Morris and Jones drove from Houston to Arlington to kill a man they had never met. They had only a vague description to go by -- a black man with dreadlocks.

When they arrived at the apartment complex, they found Cooley -- who matched that description -- and shot him on sight. Later, it was determined Cooley was not the man they were looking for.
