Security guard shot and wounded in Fort Worth parking garage

The Fort Worth Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an armed suspect following a shooting early Thursday morning at The Crescent Hotel.

Incident Details:

• Location: The Crescent Hotel (Garage Area)
• What Happened: A suspect was walking out of the garage's east entrance when he pulled out a handgun and opened fire on hotel security personnel.
• Victim Status: One security guard was struck in the arm by gunfire. The guard was transported for medical care, and hotel management confirmed they are expected to make a full and speedy recovery.
• Hotel Statement: Representatives for The Crescent Hotel expressed deep pride in how their security team handled the situation under pressure.
• Suspect Status: The gunman fled the garage immediately following the shooting and remains at large.
