It's onlyl the first week of school and one north Texas school district already is dealing with threats.

Multiple DeSoto ISD campuses were placed on a temporary hold Tuesday over safety concerns at Katherine Johnson Technology Magnet Academy.

DeSoto ISD Superintendent Dr. Usamah Rodgers says an unknown person called the DeSoto Police Dispatch and made a threat.

Three other schools were threatened and all the schools were searched. Rogers says no credible threats of concern were found.

Extra school security patrols were dispatched to the schools for the rest of the day. Counselors will also be made available at campuses today, along with added patrols.
